THE SOLAR

This old manor house, dating from the 17th century, belonged to the Castros family, the mayors of Melgaço and Castro Laboreiro. The architectural beauty of the motherhouse, the chapel and the fountain, being a splendid example of Romanesque architecture, deserves a closer look.

Integrated in the Alvarinho Wine Route, this farm has a specialized cellar, where we can taste the taste of this famous wine from the Melgaço and Monção sub-region, with an emphasis on the house brand – Reguengo de Melgaço, already awarded in several national competitions and international.

The rustic Hotel Rural Reguengo de Melgaço features vineyards producing Alvarinho wine and is located 1.3 km from the River Minho. The unit is located in Paderne and has been completely renovated, maintaining its distinctive architecture.
